Franklin Electronic signs marketing agreement

Franklin Electronic Publishers Inc. said Medical Economics Co. will market the electronic 2001 version of the Physicians' Desk Reference bundled with Franklin's new eBookMan multimedia content reader. The 2001 PDR eBookMan will be available early next year.

Burlington, N.J.-based Franklin also will release a book-card version of the PDR for its Medical Book System, download versions of the PDR for devices that use the Palm and Windows CE operating systems and a Springboard module of the PDR for Handspring's Visor lines of Personal Digital Assistants.

All electronic versions of the 2001 PDR will be co-marketed by Franklin and Medical Economics Co.
